The Devils Arithmetic, The Downfall

11 million people were murdered during the holocaust and 6 million of those were Jews. In a 12 year time, from 1933 to 1945, Adolf Hilter and his Nazi party managed to literally terminate two thirds of Europe's Jewish population. TWO THIRDS! It makes me sick to my stomach....I wish we had more remembrance when it comes to the holocaust. People in this day and age really need to remember what happened, because if we aren't careful, it could happen again.

There's two films I suggest to people. The first one gives you a clue into the man behind the swastika. This film captured the nature of Adolf Hitler and his closest followers in the last months to the last days of the "Greater German Reich". This is a German production so the language is of course German but it is by far the closest and most accurate portrayal of Hitler I have seen on film. This movie was based off the first hand accounts of Adolf Hitler's final secretary, Traudl Junge.

The second film really sends you to the other side. The side of the Jewish where family and religion was what they had. They didn't have money and they didn't have power. They lived day to day relying on family and God to help them survive. The Jewish were stepped on, pushed around, abused and tortured. I pray that you get the opportunity to view these films and I pray you continue to remember, and maybe if you remember, some one else can too, and that could spread a long way.

If you get a second, copy and paste the web path into your browser and read this story.. It might be of some kind of interest to you, and it might not be. I'm very opinionated when it comes to things like this. I like to see what other people's opinions are because sometimes I like to laugh silently to myself wondering why some people, although older than me and college educated, could possibly be so stupid? Let's see how many people get tickled as well. Click on the story and scroll down to the comments. If you are opinionated, it might posses you to type in your comment also. Who knows..

The news might become regular postings in Jessica world. The news intrigues me.

Wall Street Balderdash

I recently posted a new pole at the top of my page only because today is the two month mark for the Occupy Wall Street protest. Now I know I don't have many people come across this particular blog, but I really really want to see how people feel about this.

See, facebook is very mutual. If you type the wrong thing in your status update then you just might start a political debate. So, instead of posting on Facebook about this crap, (yes I said it. Crap) I want to see if anyone actually does that pole. And maybe when the pole expires, I'll do a report on it.

Leave me your comments if you voted on my pole. I love me some opinions. :)

Paroxysm

Grown ups have temper tantrums just as much as a child my son’s age has them. They just aren't called "temper tantrums" they're called outbursts.

outburst  [out-burst]
noun

Definition: fit of temper

Synonyms: access, attack, blow, burst, conniption, discharge, eruption, explosion, flare, flare-up, frenzy, gush, gust, outbreak, outpouring, paroxysm, rapture, scene, spasm, storm, surge, tantrum, transport, upheaval

Antonyms: harmony, order, peace

The fact is this: Adults may not roll on the floor and cry like a child might (well, most adults don’t…) but they do communicate their feelings when they don’t get their way.
See from a childs perspective:
When mommy or daddy says “No, you cannot have another piece of candy,” the child may scream, or throw him/herself on to the floor out of anger or frustration.

Same scenario with adults, but the verbs change. A 21 year old woman may find out bad news, or someone could infuriate her or maybe even something she just doesn’t like will take place. Instead of calmly accepting this not so good news or event, she curses, her blood pressure rises, she shakes uncontrollably, she gets anxiety, so on. So, in reality, we may not be children anymore, but it doesn’t mean we don’t act like it sometimes… ;)

Just my thought for the day..
Any inppput?
